LinkedIn data shows increase in distance marketing jobs in US

A new report from LinkedIn shows that there is a steady increase in the number of remote jobs available to US-based marketers.

In particular, the demand for remote positions for digital marketers and copywriters has increased over the past 6 months as businesses become more comfortable with work-from-home teams.

The “SEO Specialist” is among the top 5 most in-demand marketing jobs for remote positions.

The popularity of remote working is on the rise in general, but the growth of remote marketing jobs is particularly high compared to other categories.

As of May 20, the percentage of paid jobs on LinkedIn offering “remote work” had increased by 457% compared to a year earlier.

For marketing roles, the number of remote job postings increased by 177% in the last 6 months.

Data from LinkedIn shows remote jobs attracting more applicants. They are said to be twice as popular as conventional lists in terms of the number of people applying.

The “remote revolution,” as LinkedIn calls it, encompasses a full range of marketing specializations.

There is a demand for content marketers, social media marketers, SEOs, digital strategists, etc.

Interestingly, the increase in remote work has resulted in a shortage of marketing professionals to fill office positions.

The following section presents highlights from LinkedIn’s report on where the demand for in-person talent is greatest right now.

Cities with the greatest demand for markers

As marketers get used to the nature of working remotely from their remote stations, they are taking the opportunity to escape the high cost of living in large cities.

This fits in with the fact that big cities are now showing the greatest need for marketers in roles that require them to go to an office.
